Saltash Studios is a space for making, relaxing, thinking, working and connecting. We celebrate culture and creativity. We love new ideas and collaborations.

The Studios is a unique community hub that provides:

  • space to focus with our co-work club.
  • an exciting programme of activities to inspire and bring people together.

Saltash Studios is central to the community with friendly professional work space, bookable meeting and workshop rooms and a range of events including cinema, talks, workshops and pop-up markets.

From business networking to samba workshops, independent cinema to yoga, the Studios provides a space for new initiatives to grow and a home for a vibrant community of creatives, thinkers and doers.

Saltash Studios is situated at the ‘gateway to Cornwall’. We are just a few minutes from the river Tamar and the two iconic bridges that bring visitors to this beautiful part of the world. We are based in a previously derelict building (formerly a Barclays Bank), which Salt Arts CIC has led in refurbishing and transforming for its new life.

Being run by a Community Interest Company (CIC) with charitable objectives means that Saltash Studios is run by and for our community. This social enterprise model enables us to reinvest all our income back into the project and into the Saltash community.

The Saltash Studios project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The Saltash Studios team

Lindsay Endean

Salt Arts CIC Director

Lindsay set up Salt Arts to make things she loves with people she thinks are fab. Her career has taken her from orchestras in Oxford to libraries in Croydon and shops in Covent Garden, and more recently on to commemorations in Plymouth and music in Cornwall.

High points include opening a community arts venue in a former drugs factory and watching 30,000 people follow a very large dragon around Plymouth (these two things are not connected). The single low point was probably eating an insect-flour cookie in the name of Public Engagement.

Lindsay lives in Cornwall with two children, a husband and a cat and any spare time is for sailing.

Kirstie Dickson

Saltash Studios Venue & Co-Work Administrator

Kirstie is a designer maker who started her career making costume for Theatre, Film & TV. After challenging herself to complete her first academic qualification in her 30s her career took a new direction in marketing & events but she is still addicted to stitching and all things sparkly.

Kirstie brings her creative and planning skills to her local community in Saltash and St Germans, volunteering to organize community events, workshops & fundraisers and is a trustee for a local youth project.

Spare time is spent travelling, gardening, stitching, enjoying life with her whirling dervish grandson or cosied up with a good book and a cat.

Ambika Olney

Saltash Studios Venue & Co-Work Administrator

After travelling in her early 20s, Ambika chose to pursue a freelance career in graphic design and video editing to create a flexible work-life balance while raising her family. She balances her current role with Saltash Studios alongside freelance projects.

Her diverse portfolio includes work for local authorities, festivals, small businesses, charities and CICs, with a focus on projects that align with her community values. With a Media Studies degree and a background in sales management, she brings a broad skill set to every project.

Ambika lives in Cornwall with her husband and two children, along with three chickens, a snake and a blind dog. When not working, she’s baking, fermenting, or knee-deep in whatever creative mess has caught her attention that day.
